Ye Star Buffet in Round Rock

This is good as far as Chinese buffets go, good selection in chinese food and sushi, they also have a Mongolian grill. Crab is served only on specific days so double check that. Most days I just get sushi rolls and nothing else, definitely the best deal if you like cooked sushi, unless you are brave enough to go to a gas station that sells it😱. Upholstery and furniture could use some help though.

This is a decent buffet restaurant, and I love the food here. Been here many times, and never been disappointed.

The only thing that tasted normal was the water . The food was plain and tasteless . Even the coke was just water . Desserts are horrible. That's definitely my first and last time .

The food was just ok, nothing to get excited about. The salad bar portion of yhe buffet had no lettuce the entire time we were there. The service was slow. I will not be going back.

I suspect that they have people write fake reviews. As a food lover, i do not condone this behavior. The restaurant , the service, the food....everything about it is so horrible. Only ate here once but will not again.Food was dry and some were cold and seem to be very old. Sorry..but y'all neeed to do better. I looked at the yelp reviews, which seem like a more appropriate and accurate reflection of this restaurant. DO NOT EAT HERE. just a warning.

A good buffet for the area and price. Offers more than Chinese food. Very American Chinese food. Never felt sick from eating here.

I came in because it was Chinese New Year and there were balloons on a stick out front. Who can resist balloons? So I went in. Safe to say that I was not misled by the balloons. They were right to tempt me in. Tasty sushi and tons of choices including American fare for kids. Definitely check them out if you need Chinese Buffet in Round Rock. Look for the balloons on a stick!

Great. From chicken to seafood for meat eaters and all round food for vegetarians. End your meal with wholesome fruits and yummy icecream and desserts. There is a place where you can get your own food made with your own ingredients. Don't forget to get a new plate each time you get up for a refill.

Ate here last night. Was OK but not great. Fish tasted salty and odd. Had a film under the breading. Shrimp was not cooked properly. Just not my kind of place. Will go elsewhere next time.

I'm leery of buffets and trying new ones. But I was pleasantly surprised. The food was fresh and good. Definitely a huge selection to choose from. And the price is low for what you get. I recommend this place.

Since reopening they have done a great job. Buffet is hot where it's supposed to be hot and cold where it is to be cold. Wait staff friendly and attentive. Good value for price. Will go back.

Food was well stocked. Location was clean. Service was mediocre. Parking was easy.

Best Chinese Buffet I've ever eaten at! Amazing selection and everything was so fresh! We ate here on a Saturday evening and I'm looking forward to seeing if the lunch buffet is as appetizing!

Good variety. I tasted sugar in a number of dishes where I didn't expect it. Tasted pretty good, but it didn't work well for someone trying to stay on a low carb diet. Staff wore masks and diners were asked to wear masks and gloves at the food bar. But they did not enforce this.

Good food variety, fresh and tasty!! service was good also. First time I went the sushi scared me because it sits under these really warm lamps, I noticed that other people were getting it so I decided to give it a try, thinking that I would probably get a detox from it later on. I ended up not getting sick! And it was yummy!

Pretty gross. I am scared to eat about 3/4 of what they have here. Two full tables of friend and breaded bits of meat that are so hard I cannot get my fork to break through it. Lots of shelled sea food that are mostly shell rather than meat. The salmon is grey and brown in color and noone has touched it in an hour. The Mongolian grill meat is raw before they cook it for you and looks warm. There is chicken juice dripping off the raw chicken.I am pretty sure my stomach is going to be angry that I chose to check this place out.On the bright side, they have lots of dessert options that look safe, including ice cream.

Don’t let the outside appearance & strange name fool you! I think this buffet is pretty great. We did a double date here with a keto couple and they ate plates of seafood to their hearts delight. Meanwhile, I tried every piece of beef, chicken, and pork they had to offer— and loved it all. The green beans were also on point. Normally, Chinese buffets can be a bit run down or feel somewhat unclean, but the food was orderly and the dining area spacious. The servers were also really attentive— I never lacked a drink or worried about room for a new plate.

$90 and the food all taste the same lesson learned not going back

As far as Asian buffets go, this one is the best I've to. Good selection and atmosphere.

I stopped in here just passing through town. One of the best chinese places I have been to! The food was fantastic and priced reasonably. I wish I lived closer. I would love to come back!

If you come when its about to close then its slim pickings for you. Not much left and they won't refill anything. You can tell the chicken wings and other fried foods have been there for at least 5 or more hours. Just stick with the fried rice and gen tso if your that hungry and you don't wanna go anywhere else.

The food was not to good. I feel that the cost per child was to high. Some of the food tested bad.

The staff was friendly and quick on the service. We all headed there for father's day. The kiddos asked to leave half way through our first plate. The wife and I felt the same. We went to McDonald's on the way home. The second star is purely for the wait staff.

Great food, terrible and rude staff. Stand over you starring while you eat.

Will never visit here again. We were ignored by our waitress our whole stay. Plus we we're charged more for drinks than what we we're told. I watched several people come in and they we're taken care of several times. They don't enforce masks or gloves while customers making making food.

The staff are polite and the food is pretty solid. I’m a variety kinda guy and you’ll definitely find something you’ll like here.
